Dr Kort H

Dentist

Dr. Kort Herman was raised in Ranchester, Wyoming. He graduated from Tongue River High School in 1993 and went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana University. He married his high school sweetheart, Rebecca while they both attended Augustana. After graduation, they moved to Rapid City where Rebecca taught 1st grade in the Rapid City School District and Dr. Kort worked at a local bank. After a few years of banking, he decided to go back to school to study dentistry. He graduated from Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine in 2008 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After living and working in Illinois for several years, Dr. Kort and his family relocated back to South Dakota in 2016 to practice dentistry in the Black Hills. He joined Kieffer Family Dental in 2020. Kort and Rebecca have five children. They enjoy doing things together as a family and being outdoors.

I was born and raised in Rapid City. I attended Augustana University in Sioux Falls where I met Joe. We were married in 1996 and graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2000. We spent the next three years in England serving in the USAF as dentists. We moved to Rapid City in 2003 and worked as associates for one year. We then opened our own practice, Kieffer Family Dental. I particularly enjoy seeing children in our practice as they bring a smile to my face. I take pleasure in being with people and helping them to the best of my ability. I love the Lord. He has blessed us with four children; Olivia, Benson, Sullivan and Finnegan. They are such a blessing that brings me much happiness. We enjoy the outdoors and exploring different areas through our travels. I have had an opportunity to coach volleyball at Rapid City Christian and have been blessed through the process. I love my profession and feel fortunate to be able to work with my husband and an amazing team!

I was born and raised in Howard,S.D. I attended Augustana University in Sioux Falls, S.D. where I met Elizabeth. We were married in 1996 and attended the University of Minnesota Dental School, graduating in 2000. We spent the next three years in England serving as dentists in the United States Air Force. In 2003 we moved to Rapid City and worked as associates for one year before opening our own practice, Kieffer Family Dental. I have studied and continue to advance my dental knowledge through the Spear Educational Program and other avenues. I will always be a student of dentistry with its evolving advancements, knowledge, and equipment. One of my professional passions is getting to know my patients and caring for them the best I can. We are blessed to have four children; Olivia, Benson, Sullivan and Finnegan. Together we enjoy the outdoors and exploring different areas in our travels. I am currently coaching girl’s basketball at Rapid City Christian and additional boys basketball teams. I am grateful for this opportunity. I love my profession and am continually blessed by my team. Spending time with the Lord is most important in my life.

I am extremely blessed to have begun in March 2012 an adventure with Kieffer Family Dental as their Business Manager. It brings great pleasure to me to be able to serve others in an atmosphere where God is at the center. As the Business Manager, my purpose is to ensure that our patients receive utmost respect and across-the-board dental care and that our team continues to grow personally and professionally. My wife Kate and I were married in 1999. God has blessed us with four miracle children, Wilson, Lars, Liza and Oxel. I am passionate about the Lord and my family. I'm involved in our church and enjoy hunting, laughing, gardening, loving others, and serving.

I have been with Kieffer Family Dental since February, 2006. I love working with people with servants’ hearts and who share the same vision and passion for the Lord as I do. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know patients and their families and watching them grow. My husband Paul and I are blessed with four amazing kids: Ella, Simon, Nora & Veda. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, sports, outdoors activities, cooking and reading.

I have been working as a Registered Dental Hygienist at Kieffer Family Dental since 2004. What I love most about my job is the ability to educate patients about their oral health and help to prevent disease. I live in Rapid City with my husband Buck and have two daughters Maggie and Lizzie. We enjoy outdoor activities and traveling.
